Christmas in Pictures

Christmas break this year was pretty amazing... First of all, Philip got 5 WEEKS off of school! He still had to work some, but he was around sooooo much more and that was awesome! We did A LOT of travelling over Christmas break. Although we were just by ourselves in College Station for Christmas Eve & Christmas day (which was magical!). We really had the best Christmas day ever just being together and having fun! During Christmas break we saw 7 of Philip's siblings and went to 6 of their houses, plus philip's grandparents house and parents house. We traveled to 8 cities, drove through 5 states, 2,500+ miles, and 45+ hours in the car. It was CRAZY. But fun. But I am definitely tripped out for a while.....

First stop...... Austin, TX (well, technically Pflugerville, but no one knows where that is....) for a weekend! We got to visit awesome family in Austin and we got to go to this totally awesome Bethlehem City that was about an hour away. It was soooo cool! If you ever have a chance to go to the Bethlehem City in Burnet, TX, then go!!! It is amazing!

Second stop..... San Antonio, TX for a different weekend! We were able to attend the baptism of one of our nephews! And see lots of family too! We also were able to see some of our really good friends from BYU (well Philip has been friends with the husband since high school) and they have a baby girl is just a couple months younger than Enok, so that was really fun too!

Philip pulled out his legos from his childhood after Enok went to bed and stayed up till 2:30am building a lego castle.... nerd alert! But it was a cool castle!

Third stop........ Baton Rouge, LA for a weekend! Enok was able to meet his Great-Grandparents on his Roberts side! We were even able to get a quick 4 generation picture! We got to see lots of extended family and it was really great!

Fourth stop..... Crestview, FL! At the beginning of Christmas break we had no plans to go to FL, but when we were in Baton Rouge my sister in law made a comment jokingly about how they only lived 4 hours away. But we took that comment seriously and decided to go visit them since we were already so close! And I am so glad we did! Even though it was chilly we still had so much fun! We were able to go to the gulfariam (like a huge aquarium, but its on the gulf so they call it the gulfarium) and the beach! And even though it was freezing while we were at the beach it was still so fun! It was Enoks first time at the beach and he loved it! We didn't have any gloves with us so we put socks on his hands to keep them warm and he was totally fine with that. He loved crawling all over the sand, and seeing if he could sneak any into his mouth before momma stopped him. This was mine & Enok's first time to Florida, and to Alabama & Mississippi as well, which we drove through to get there.

Fifth stop..... Jackson, Mississippi! This was also an unplanned stop. But we needed to drive from FL to north TX and it happens that Jackson is like a perfect halfway point! We were really excited when we realized this because it meant we got to visit more family! We were only there for an evening, but we had some good socializing and ate some bomb-diggity home smoke ribs. Delicious.

Sixth & Seventh stops..... Longview & Hideaway, TX! In Longview we were able to have dentists appts with Philip's brother (which was so needed) and to stay at their house a night to chat and hang out. Their son is the closest boy cousin to Enok in age (he is about 9 months older), and he was so cute trying to play with/feed/help Enok. I think he is ready for his own baby brother *nudge*nudge*wink*wink! Then we went to hideaway to visit with Philip's parents and their new puppy Gus. Enok absolutely loves Gus! And even though Gus had some problems with biting/chewing, he never once even tried to bite or chew on Enok! It's like he knew he needed to be more gentle with the little human =) And Enok loves Granny & Grandpa, so it was time very well spent. After Hideaway we went back home for a week.

Last stop..... Dallas, TX (well technically north of it a bit). We went to Dallas for my cousin's wedding! I was so excited we could go as I don't see much of my extended family often. She had a beautiful sealing and reception and it was great. While there we stayed with Philip's sister and her family and had fun just hanging out with them. We were so glad they were willing to watch Enok while we went to the temple. And their youngest son (who I think is 5) was so good at playing with and entertaining Enok. [He would do great with a younger sibling too *more nudging*more winking*]. On our way home from Dallas we were able to stop and see a friend that taught English with us in Russia. And that was awesome, cuz we love Jasmyn!

And then we finally got to come home. And home we will stay for a while. And Philip started school again the day after we got home. Back into the grind of things!
